Barcode Artwork Test
We have a new service where we can test your barcode artwork, to give you an idea of whether it will scan well.
This is not an official Barcode Verification Report as required by some Supermarket and Hardware chains. But is a test using the same equipment and giving the same information.
This test will be done on your artwork so you can have more confidence about the quality of the barcode before you go to print or it will tell you what problems there are with the barcode artwork.
To do this test, please purchase the quantity you require, and then email a pdf of the barcode artwork to us. The pdf must be A4 or smaller in size, and 100%. We will print it on a laser printer in B&W (so it won’t test any other print colours) and test it, then email the report to you.
You can view some sample reports below. Grades vary from A (excellent) to C (OK) to D & below which are fails.

Barcode Registration
“Barcode Registration” means that you can register your barcode number and product/company details on the International Barcodes Database (information that you submit to that database also filters through to several other online barcode databases).Add the quantity you require to the cart, and then proceed to check out. Please enter your barcode number(s) in the “additional information” section when you get to the check out page.
Once we receive your order for Barcode Registration we will email you to request proof of ownership (so that we can verify that you are the owner of that barcode number). We will then activate your barcode number for registration and give you instructions for how to register your barcode.
Please note that Barcode Registration is included for free if you buy one of our EAN or UPC barcode packages or barcode numbers.

Custom QR codes
What are customised QR Codes?
Standard QR codes, although easily recognisable, can be an ugly part of product labelling or your design. We can make your QR code with colour and logos to better match your brand image.
If you have a good designer, they can modify the QR codes for you. However, this is often expensive, and sometimes they can inadvertently damage the actual QR code, rendering it unscannable.
We have dedicated designers who can provide custom QR code designs for you.
This product includes:
- A static or dynamic QR code (see below for the difference between static and dynamic).
- QR code images are supplied in 3 formats (PDF, PNG & SVG).
In the comments box on the checkout page, tell us about your company’s brand and how you will be using the QR code. Please let us know the colours you would like. Please email us your logo as a PNG or JPEG file. Then our designers can create a custom QR code for you.
The cost of a Custom QR Code is $48. Any extra design time is charged at $24 per hour.

There are limits to the changes we can make to a QR code, as the overriding aim is to maintain its ability to be scanned. We can introduce two colours (with gradients), add a custom logo to the centre and alter the QR code’s foreground elements.

Static and Dynamic
STATIC QR Codes
Static QR codes encode your URL directly in the QR code. They are permanent. They will work as long as your website URL doesn’t change. They can’t be changed, as the URL is encoded directly in the QR Code. They have unlimited scans. Static QR codes can also be used for things other than URLs, such as encoding text, v-business cards, sending emails, or SMS messages.DYNAMIC QR Codes
These utilise our Dynamic QR Code service, which allows the target URL to be changed repeatedly in the future if necessary.- Unlimited scans: Scans of the Dynamic QR Code are UNLIMITED so long as you don’t abuse the QR code with millions of scans that cause technical problems, such as crashed servers.
- Functions for life: The Dynamic QR Code, with its redirection capability, will function FREE for two years and will continue to function thereafter for as long as you pay an annual fee of $16.
- Unlimited redirection of the target URL: On initial purchase, you specify a target URL. You can ask us to redirect the target URL as often as you wish, at a fee of $16 per redirection.
- Custom Tracking Reports: You can pay us for tracking reports, with prices depending on frequency, report complexity, and the number of QR codes being tracked. Please inquire for details.
